Our Post BSc 1st Year students had the opportunity to participate as delegates, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and knowledge.

CPMS College of Nursing celebrated International Nurses Day on May 13th under the theme "Our Nurses, Our Future: The Economic Power of Care." The event, led by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bibi Bordoloi, highlighted nurses' crucial role in healthcare. It began with an inauguration by the principal and faculty members, setting the tone for a day of reflection and appreciation.
A panel discussion led by senior faculty and the principal explored the economic impact of nursing care. Students participated in a poster competition showcasing their commitment to nursing. Faculty members were honored for their contributions to nursing education and practice.

A 2-day Hands-on program on 'basic histopathological techniques' was successfully conducted by the Department of MLT, PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences on March 20th and 21st, 2024.

A 2-day Hands-on program on 'basic histopathological techniques' was successfully conducted by the Department of MLT, PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences on March 20th and 21st, 2024.
Mrs. Thounaojam Salvia Devi, the Principal of PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences, served as the Chairperson, while Mr. Jyotishman Baruah, Tutor from PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences, acted as the Convenor. Dr. Akshay Chandra Deka, a Professor at the Regional College of Health Sciences, and Mr. Pranjal Das, a Demonstrator at the same institution, participated as Guest Trainers.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Akshay Chandra Deka as the Resource person, Mr. Pranjal Das as the Invited Trainer, Mrs. Th. Salvia Devi, the Principal of PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences, Dr. PC Deka, the Director of Administration, and Dr. NN Sharma, Senior Faculty member from the PEWS Group of Institutions.
The workshop witnessed significant success, drawing faculty members and students from over 10 different colleges and universities, including NEF College of Health Sciences, Dispur Paramedical and Nursing Institute, NEPNI Group of Institutions, Regional College of Paramedical Health Sciences (RIPT), Royal Global University, Institute of Paramedical and Management Technology, Regional College of Health Sciences (RCHS), and GEA National College. Additionally, students from our MLT program actively participated in the two-day hands-on session.

World Optometry Day Celebration at PEWS

The Department of Optometry of PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences celebrated World Optometry Day on March 23rd, 2024. The event was graced by Mr. Chandan Jyoti Borah, Optometrist at BPHC, Chaygaon, Govt. of Assam, as the special invitee, along with Mrs. Thounaojam Salvia Devi, Principal of PEWS College of Paramedical Sciences, and Dr. Pallavi Goswami (PT) from the College of Physiotherapy and Medical Sciences. Faculty members and students from the Department of Optometry also participated in the event.
The highlight of the celebration was a model competition among the students, adding an element of creativity and engagement to the day. The event concluded with a delightful cake cutting ceremony, followed by the distribution of prizes to the competition winners. It was a fun and educational event that brought together aspiring optometrists to commemorate World Optometry Day.
