On November 25th, 2023, the College of Physiotherapy and Medical Sciences organized a workshop centered on "Spinal Pivot Point: A Manipulative Approach to the Spine." Emanuele Corti, D.O Osteopath, and Manual Therapy expert from Italy, graced the workshop as a resource person. Mr. Corti also presented as a speaker at the 2nd Osteo Summit, which took place on November 26th in New Delhi. The workshop, held as a pre-conference event, showcased Mr. Corti's expertise. Over 50 participants from various universities and colleges attended the workshop, which delved into assessments of spinal pivot points and dysfunctions. The session also covered High-Velocity Low-Amplitude Thrusts (HVLAs) specifically designed for cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacroiliac joints. In his comments, Mr. Corti appreciated the attendees for their active engagement and enthusiasm during the workshop. On this final day of our 3-day celebration, we collaborated with Guwahati Eye N Multispecialty Center to offer free eye check-ups to everyone. Dr. Angshuman Deka (Cataract and Oculoplasty Surgeon) interacted with the students and staff discussing important aspects of eye health. It's been an incredible experience, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this #WorldPhysiotherapyDay Celebration a success.

Day 1 of World Physiotherapy Day celebration at the #PEWSCampus was a fantastic start. Students and faculty also actively participated in the blood donation camp, making this event a resounding success.

A wonderful celebration was organized on the occasion of Teacher's Day by students of CPMS College and School of Nursing to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary efforts & dedication put forth by all our teachers. The celebration began with a heartwarming Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing the enlightenment and wisdom that our teachers bring into our lives, followed by words of wisdom from Sir Mr. Ram Murti Sharma, Chairman PEWS Group of Institutions, Prof (Dr.)Bibi Bordoloi, Principal CPMS College and School of Nursing and Dr. P.C. Deka - Director Administration, PEWS Group of Institutions. Recognizing the tireless efforts, all teachers were felicitated by Mr. Umesh Nath, Branch Sales Manager SBI Life Insurance. As a small gesture to express our deep gratitude tokens of love were presented by students. To add color and joy to the day, our students showcased their talents through dance and song performances, along with engaging recreational activities.
